Wilmington, DE (July 1, 2017) – Patterson-Woods Commercial Properties/CORFAC Interanational's Vincent White has been elected as the National Director of The Real Estate Educators Association (REEA). He was installed on June 24 in Miami Beach, Florida, where REEA was holding its annual conference. In addition to National Director, Vincent was named and installed as treasurer of the organization. As National Director, Vincent will be responsible for seminars and overall membership experience. Headshot of Duncan Patterson, President of Patterson-Woods.Wilmington, DE (June 22, 2017) – The PA/NJ/DE CCIM Chapter has recently established a scholarship to honor individuals for their outstanding service to their CCIM chapter, the commercial real estate industry and to their communities. The scholarship, named the W. Duncan Patterson, Jr./Darbin Skeans Scholarship, was named after Patterson-Woods Commercial Properties/CORFAC International President Duncan Patterson, CCIM, and SVN | Imperial Realty Principal Darbin Skeans, CCIM. 

Duncan served as President of the CCIM Institute in 2000 and is currently on the Board of Directors for the CCIM Foundation. He was instrumental in developing the course Making Transactions Happen with Real Estate Gifting, which he teaches nationally. The course is administered by the CCIM Foundation and works to advance knowledge and professionalism in the field of commercial investment real estate.

The $1,000 scholarship will be awarded in the fall, and will help the recipient with the cost of the desigination course CI 103: User Decision Analysis for Commercial Investment Real Estate. With the approval of this and several new scholarships around the country, the CCIM Foundation now has 105 fully funded scholarships.

Wilm, DE (April 27, 2017) – Patterson-Woods Commercial Properties/CORFAC International Principal Chris Moore has been awarded the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation by CCIM Institute. The designation was awarded during CCIM Institute's annual Governance Meeting April 1 – 5 in Chicago, IL. 

Moore was among the 164 commercial real estate professionals who earned the designation by passing the CCIM Institute's Comprehensive Examination, the final element in the designation process. Patterson-Woods President, Duncan Patterson, CCIM, who also attended the meeting, pinned Moore during the New Designee Pinning Ceremony.

"The CCIM training and tools give me the ability to build sophisticated financial models to help clients feel confident in their decisions to acquire, hold, sell and reinvest their hard earned dollars in the commercial real estate market," said Moore. "The successful completion of the CCIM designation allows new clients to have confidence that their CCIM agent has demonstrated persistence, undergone a rigorous financial, market analysis, and overall commercial real estate training program so they can apply those skills on their client's behalf."

To earn the CCIM designation, commercial real estate professionals must complete more than 160 hours of case-study driven education covering topics such as interest-based negotiation, financial analysis, market analysis, user decision analysis, investment analysis, and ethics in commercial investment real estate. Candidates must also compile a portfolio demonstrating the depth of their commercial real estate experience and pass a comprehensive examination.

Moore joined Patterson-Woods in 2014, specializing in industrial and investment properties. In 2017, he became a Principal with the company. In addition to CCIM, Moore is a member of CIRC, a non-profit organization which brings together members of the Delaware Valley Community from a variety of real estate fields.

Wilmington, DE (February 27, 2017) – Patterson-Woods Commercial Properties/CORFAC International Associate Broker Vincent White was recently reappointed to the Wilmington Housing Authority Board of Commissioners. He was previously appointed by former Governor Jack Markell, and will stay on the Board under John Carney's leadership. He is the only holdover member in the transition from the previous Board to the 2017-2019 Board. The Wilmington Housing Authority manages 2,000 public housing units serving 7,000 low to moderate income residents of the City of Wilmington in New Castle County with an annual 30 million dollar program budget. In addition to his role with WHA, White is the Vice President of Housing Opportunities of Northern Delaware and the Vice Chair of the Delaware Council on Housing.

Wilmington, DE (February 17, 2017) – Downtown Visions (DTV) Executive Director Martin Hageman announced today that William J. Minster, Director of Business Development for the Wilmington Downtown Business Improvement District (better known as Downtown Visions), and the full-time Program Manager for Main Street Wilmington, a division of Downtown Visions, has joined Patterson-Woods Commercial Properties/CORFAC International as a licensed real estate agent.

Minster will be maintaining his role at Downtown Visions while practicing real estate. With this dual role, he will be adding professional skills and resources needed to concentrate on small business recruitment and investment in the Downtown Business District.
