Chicago, IL (December 08, 2016) – CORFAC International President John Homsher, CCIM, announced the 2017 Officers and Leadership Team for CORFAC International, which will be led by in-coming President G. Raymond (Ray) Lyons, CCIM, MRICS, SIOR, with Thomas L. Johnson Realty/CORFAC International.

CORFAC International (www.corfac.com) is a membership-based affiliation of independent and entrepreneurial commercial real estate services firms with over 80 offices throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia-Pacific. Officers serve one-year terms in their respective positions.

Homsher is a principal with Podolsky|Circle CORFAC International. Lyons is based in Toronto, Canada. He previously served on CORFAC’s Executive Committee as vice president, treasurer and secretary.

Wilmington, DE (November 2, 2016) – Duncan PattersonCCIM, President of Patterson-Woods Commercial Properties/CORFAC International, will be instructing a two-session online CCIM Course titled “Making Transactions Happen with Real Estate Gifting.”
 
The virtual sessions will take place on Monday, November 7 and Wednesday, November 9 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Central time. 
 
The course will cover the topic of charitable gifting of real estate and the many opportunities it presents for real estate professionals who work with donors as well as the recipient charitable organizations. At the end of the course, students will be able to create client solutions, leverage the CCIM network and CCIM Foundation, understand the use of the real estate gifting process as a tool for disposition, and handle transactions that benefit both the donor and the charitable organization.
 
Patterson is part of Real Estate Gifting Realized, a not-for-profit charitable foundation administered by the CCIM Foundation that works to advance knowledge and professionalism in the field of commercial investment real estate. Real Estate Gifting Realized is run by a select team of professionals who are specialists from all real estate disciplines, from financial to compliance. Patterson will join fellow member, Mary Stark Hood, J.D., CFP ®, in teaching these sessions.

Wilmington, DE (October 4, 2016) – Greg Ellis, CCIM, and Joseph Latina, Principals at Patterson-Woods Commercial Properties/CORFAC International, recently attended the CORFAC International 2016 Fall Summit in Toronto, Canada.

Latina, a CORFAC Executive Board member, was reelected to his position for the 2016-2017 term. He was originally elected as a member of the Executive Committee in 2015. He contributes to overseeing all other committees and boards and votes on business, policies, and budget related issues.

Both Latina and Ellis served as panelists at the converence in two of the breakout sessions – "Best Practices in Technology" and "Successful Firm Succession Planning," respectively. Greg Ellis, CCIM, speaking on the

Latina has been in the real estate industry for over twenty-five years. He specializes in retail and investment commercial real estate with a strong emphasis in the food and beverage sector. He is also a member of the Executive Committee of CORFAC International, an organization comprised of privately held entrepreneurial firms with expertise in office, industrial and retail real estate leasing and investment sales, multifamily property acquisitions and dispositions, property management and corporate services. 

He has been named several times to the "Dozens" National Sales Award list, which includes the top 5% of producing brokers nationwide. This is his seventh year consecutively winning the Five Star Award for Delaware Today.
