Patterson-Woods Attends CORFAC Spring Summit in Austin, Texas

Patterson-Woods Principals Joseph Latina and Greg Ellis, CCIM, attended the CORFAC International Spring Summit in Austin, Texas Feb 28 – Mar 3, 2018. The conference is held biannually by CORFAC International and consists of member networking opportunities, CRE panels, and distinguished speakers. This summit's keynotes featured Austin-based Tito's Vodka founder, Bert "Tito" Beveridge, and real estate economist, Dr. Mark Dotzour. Over one hundred domestic and international CORFAC members, panelists, and sponsors attended.

Patterson-Woods Commercial Properties/CORFAC International Facilitates $1.895 Million Sale of an Office Building in Wilmington, DE

Wilmington, DE (January 31, 2018) – Patterson-Woods Commercial Properties/CORFAC International, a leading full-service commercial real estate provider serving the mid-Atlantic market, today announced the completion of the sale of an office building located at 913 Delaware Avenue in Wilmington, DE. The single-story building measures 8,100 square feet and sits on 0.5 acres of land.

The property was sold by Washington Street Realty Company, LLC, a Delaware-based investor, to 913 Delaware Avenue, a Series of KD Financial, LLC, for $1.895 million.

Bart Mackey, a Principal at Patterson-Woods, represented the seller in this transaction. The parties settled on January 11, 2018.

The 913 Delaware Avenue property was built in the 1940's and served as an A & P grocery store for 30 years. In the early 1970's, the property was purchased and reconfigured to serve as the flagship office for Patterson-Schwartz Real Estate, where they remained for 35 years. For the past 10 years, the property has been a renal care facility and is currently flagged as a U.S. Renal Care location.

"This prime Delaware Avenue and I-95 exit location has changed ownership for just the second time in almost 80 years," stated Mackey. "The circumstance was right for the seller and the buyer."

Chris Lee, an agent with Patterson-Woods and beloved colleague, passed away on January 19, 2018.

Wilmington – The world lost a wonderful man on Friday, January 19th, 2018. Chris passed at home surrounded by his loving family and is now perfectly healed. Chris was a devoted husband, father and friend to many. He was an integral part of the Wilmington commercial real estate scene, his beloved historic neighborhood, Immanuel church, and the Wilmington Elks Lodge. His greatest achievement was bringing up good kids.

Chris graduated from Concord High School in 198, attended the University of Delaware and graduated from Wesley College.

Chris is survived by his wife Debbie Lee (McCormick); sons, Adam and Simon; daughter, Kathryn; father, Paul Lee (Debbie) of Tega Cay, SC, mother, Betty Ann Pohl (Rudy) of New Concord, K.Y.

A celebration of life service will be held at Immanuel Church, 2415 Pennsylvania Avenue, Wilmington, DE, 19806, on Saturdy, January 27th at 11 AM. Visitation will start at 10 AM. Burial will be private.
