J. GREGORY ELLIS

Greg joined Patterson-Woods in June 2005, specializing in investment and corporate property sales and Tenant Representation for office, industrial and retail leasing. He is a licensed sales associate in Delaware, Pennsylvania and Maryland.

Since joining Patterson-Woods, Greg has successfully negotiated and closed over $50 million worth of sales and leases involving office buildings, warehouses, shopping centers and hotels.

PRIOR EXPERIENCE

Prior to joining Patterson-Woods, Greg worked for 10 years for MBNA America Bank, N.A. For five of those years, he managed their Corporate Real Estate department where he was responsible for all property acquisition, leasing and disposition throughout the United States. In addition to negotiating purchase and lease agreements, Greg managed the due diligence process including zoning, use, and environmental investigations.

During part of Greg’s time at MBNA, he served as an executive-on-loan to Wilmington Renaissance where he was responsible for locating, purchasing, and renovating new headquarters facilities for Wilmington Renaissance and Downtown Visions. He also helped negotiate the acquisition of properties and development agreements for the Ships Tavern District and parking garage.

EDUCATION

Greg graduated with a B.A. in Economics from Duke University and pursued graduate studies in real estate at Johns Hopkins University.

COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES

Greg is active in a number of professional and civic organizations, including The Committee of 100 (Board member), the Commercial-Industrial Realty Council (CIRC) (Board member, Vice President, and chair of the Legislative Committee), the TriState REALTORS® Commercial Alliance (Vice President for Delaware), the Delaware Association of REALTORS® (Board member) and the Delaware Zoological Society (Board Member, President).
